Charges dismissed, reduced in case against Seven Fields mayor, wife
CRANBERRY TWP — Charges filed against the mayor of Seven Fields and his wife in connection to a domestic incident were dismissed or reduced following their appearance in court Friday, April 26.
Mayor Dean Galitsis, 44, and Tami Galitsis, 44, were both arrested and charged in December following an argument that escalated into an altercation where Tami Galitsis brandished a knife, state police said.

All charges were withdrawn except a summary of disorderly conduct, which was converted to a non-traffic citation after she provided documentation Friday proving she completed a course and counseling as advised by the court.
Police said Tami Galitsis brandished a knife during the argument and threatened to stab Dean. Documents showed the knife was eventually discarded in the sink, but Dean Galitsis reported Tami Galitsis threw a cookbook at him.
According to charging documents, Dean Galitsis told police he attempted to physically intervene twice, and Tami Galitsis scratched and bit him.
