Franklin Road lane closures coming up
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced motorists will experience some single-lane closures on Franklin Road in Cranberry Township in the coming weeks as part of its $19.1 million safety improvement project.
Single lane closures for tree trimming and the installation of environmental controls began on April 25 on Franklin Road between Route 228 and Peters Road and will continue through June 3 on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
During the lane closures, one lane of traffic will be maintained with flagging operations.
The safety improvement project also includes shoulder widening, installation of edge-line rumble strips and sight distance improvements along Franklin Road.
