Shirt, sweatshirt sale benefits Butler K-9 Unit
The Butler Bureau of Police is selling supporter T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts as a fundraiser for its K-9 unit until May 20.
The shirts can be purchased online at ButlerCityPD.org. The K-9 unit consists of a lieutenant who is the handler of police dog Chooch and a sergeant who is the handler of police dog Rico. The unit is funded completely by donations and fundraisers, according to a news release from the police bureau.
The K-9 unit is a valuable resource to not only the City of Butler but also surrounding communities, the news release said.
