Children look for tadpoles
The weather on Monday, June 11, 1984, was exceedingly hot, but the climate provided perfect conditions for tadpole hunting.

The Associated Press reported that a heat wave blanketed most of Pennsylvania over the preceding weekend, and temperatures were expected to be in the 90s on the eastern end of the state.
