Robert “Bob” Blake Minich, 78, of Renfrew, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 1, 1946, in Butler, he was the son of the late Blake Minich and Freda (Hockenberry) Minich.

Bob was a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, and past member of Church of North-East and Unionville Presbyterian Church. He was employed by Armco until his retirement in 1996, and owned and operated Minich Insurance Agency in Butler. Bob was a member of the F&AM Lodge 272, the Scottish Rite of New Castle, and a member of the Consistory Legion of Honor. Bob was also a member of the American Legion.

He enjoyed golf, gardening, fishing and traveling. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Shirley Steighner-Minich, whom he married on June 13, 2001; his children, Kevin B. Minich (Danielle) and Lori (David) Kuhn; his stepchildren, Ryan (Dawn) Yost, Ronald (Michelle) Yost and Kurt (Robin) Yost; and his grandchildren, Evan and Blake Kuhn, and Greg, J.R., Bryan, Joe, Tim, Hannah and Kyle Yost.

MINICH — Friends of Robert “Bob” Blake Minich, who died Tuesday, April 30, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Friday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew. Pastor Steve Franklin will officiate.

Interment will be private at Greenlawn Cemetery following the service.

Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
