The 35 photos submitted for the Shutterbug Showdown photo competition at the Zelienople Area Public Library are available for public view at the library during regular hours.

The library is at 227 S. High St. The photos will be posted at the library until Wednesday, May 8, according to Michelle Gibbs of Friends of the Zelienople Area Public Library.

The library held an opening night April 26 for the photographers who entered the contest, their families and the public.

Winners in the youth, teen and adult categories will be selected by a panel of three judges, but residents of Zelienople, Harmony, and Jackson and Lancaster townships can vote in the People’s Choice category.

Those who have a Zelienople library card will get four free votes, and four additional votes are available for $1.

An awards reception will be held at the library on Friday, May 10. Winners will receive a small monetary prize.

The Shutterbug Showdown was created for 2024 as a fundraiser and to raise awareness and usership of the library.
