Two students at Slippery Rock Area Elementary School were found about an hour to an hour-and-a-half after school district administrators called police to report them missing on Tuesday afternoon, May 7.

Alfonso Angelucci, superintendent of Slippery Rock Area School District, said the two “upper grade” elementary students went missing from the playground area, and administrators involved law enforcement in the search to find them.

Angelucci said the students were located, safe and placed back with their parents by the end of the day.
