Work on Portersville Bridge to begin next week
The dates crews are expected to be working on the Portersville Bridge project in Muddy Creek Township have changed, PennDOT announced.
Drivers should expect lane restrictions and ramp closures on Interstate 79 north and south on May 13 and 14, as opposed to the originally scheduled dates of this Wednesday through Friday.
On May 13 and 14, all ramps northbound and southbound on Interstate 79 will be closed. There will still be a single lane with flagging on Wednesday and May 13 and 14 on Route 488.
To detour, motorists traveling north on the interstate should take exit 99 and travel on Route 422 west to Route 19 south to Route 488 east.

Route 488 traffic to Interstate 79 will travel Route 488 east to Route 19 north to Route 422 east to Interstate 79. Detour signs will be posted.
The date change was due to anticipated weather conditions, according to a news release.
