Daughter of Holocaust survivors to share story at library event
The Butler Area Public Library will host Debbie Leuchter Stueber of the Generations Speakers Bureau at the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Stueber is the daughter of two Holocaust survivors, Kurt and Edith Leuchter.
“Edith and Kurt Leuchter: A Story of Love and Resilience” is a program Stueber shares with schools, universities and various organizations. Stueber was born and raised on Long Island, N.Y., and has made her home in Pittsburgh since 1991. She has been a volunteer at the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh for 30 years. Her parents are 95 and 96 years old.
The program will last about 30 minutes and will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Steuber and virtual participation by her parents.
