A Chicora man died after crashing a tri-axle dump truck into a wooded area last week in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, police said.

Randy L. Toy, 53, was found unresponsive on scene following the single-vehicle crash along East Brady Road around 4:52 p.m. May 8, according to state police. He was taken to ACMH Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

A police report shows Toy was traveling west on the road while driving a tri-axle dump truck. As he negotiated a left curve, police said the vehicle left the roadway and continued through a yard and across a driveway before it struck multiple trees in a wooded area.

Toy may have suffered a medical emergency that led to the crash, police said.

Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Fire Department and EMS and Karns City Regional Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
