Boice

M. Jean Boice, 89, of Penn Township, Renfrew, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Quality Life Services — Sarver.

Born in Pittsburgh on Aug. 9, 1934, Jean was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Margaret Jane Shaw Lund.

Jean was a postal clerk at the Valencia post office for 22½ years and at the Mars post office for 33 years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mars and volunteered with the Salvation Army for 18 years in Florida.

Surviving are a son, Jeffrey S. Boice (Cindy) of Mars; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. “Jack” Boice, whom she married on Jan. 11, 1954, and who died on Nov. 29, 2023; two sons, Gary J. Boice and Dennis J. Boice; and two sisters, Ruth Zank and Betty Netzer.

BOICE — Friends of M. Jean Boice, who died Sunday, May 12, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Service and burial in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township, will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
