Mars grad Isaacs makes All-AMCC

Mars graduate and Mount Aloysius Collere freshman Annalyn Isaacs has been named third team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in softball.

Isaacs hit five home runs and collected 15 RBI for the Mounties, ranking among the AMCC’s top 10 in both categories.

All-Star Game set for Brockway

BROCKWAY — The ninth annual Frank Varischetti All-Star football game takes place at 7 p.m. June 28 at Frank Varischetti Field in Brockway.

The South defeated the North, 44-34, in last year’s game.

Butler County area players representing the South team in this year’s game include Zach Kelly, Bobby Rodgers, Jake Taylor and Mason Martin of Karns City, Logan Campbell and Jayden Keene of Moniteau, Kaiden McNany, Zander Laughlin, Trey Fleming and Luke Wilson of Union/A-C Valley.

SV grad McNany named All-AMCC

ERIE — Seneca Valley graduate and Penn State Behrend junior first baseman Jocelyn McNany has been named first team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in softball.

A three-time All-AMCC selection, McNany led the league with 21 runs in conference games, was second with 20 RBI and three home runs, fourth with 22 hits. Overall, she leads the AMCC with seven homers and 42 RBI. She’s hit 11 doubles as well.
