Dennis “Denny” M. Melnick, 81, of Economy Borough, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Born on June 25, 1942, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late Michael Melnick and Rosela Kuharsky Melnick.

Denny and his brother, Charles, owned and operated Economy Metals. He was a well-respected and likable guy who had a lot of friends who loved him. He was always willing to help anyone at any time. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Denny leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Charles Melnick; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah L. Melnick.

MELNICK — Friends and family of Dennis “Denny” M. Melnick, who died Friday, May 24, 2024, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Reid Moon officiating. Military honors will be held at the funeral home immediately after the service.

Denny will be laid to rest at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
