A Cranberry Township man was indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly strangling, assaulting and wounding his partner while on a cruise, the U.S. Attorney's office said.

Quintin Owens, 27, was charged with assault and interstate domestic violence, United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced Tuesday, May 28.

According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 11, 2022, Owens assaulted his “dating partner,” a Western Pennsylvania resident, on a cruise ship that was departing from Orlando, Fla.

Assistant United States Attorney Nicole Vasquez Schmitt is prosecuting this case. The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation leading to the Indictment.
