A Pittsburgh man was hospitalized after a vehicle crash in Butler Township on Tuesday afternoon, May 28, according to police.

The crash occurred around 12:22 p.m. at the intersection of Benbrook Road and Greenwood Drive when Vasumathy Thuppal, 61, drove in front of another vehicle, police said.

According to police, a 17-year-old was driving south on Benbrook Road, when Thuppal made a left turn in front of him from Greenwood Drive.

Thuppal’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Thuppal was taken to a local hospital for possible injuries, and the 17-year-old was not injured, police said.

The police report indicated Thuppal would be cited for violating a stop sign.
