1 person injured in Beacon Road crash
PENN TWP — One man suffered an apparent arm injury when his Dodge Ram pickup sideswiped a Ford sedan before slamming into a utility pole in the 100 block of Beacon Road at 6:10 p.m. on Friday, May 31.
The pole was severed at ground level and fell parallel to Beacon Road. Wires and car parts were strewn in the yards of two properties. Power was out in the neighborhood as a result of the crash.
Penn Township police and firefighters, as well as Butler Ambulance Service, responded to the scene. The Dodge, which appeared to be a work truck, was heading east on Beacon Road when it struck the car and utility pole.
