Police say woman entered Cranberry Township home, hit person with rock, glass
A Rochester woman was accused of using a rock and broken glass to hit someone after breaking into their Cranberry Township home Sunday, May 26.
Luzia B. De Melo, 39, was charged by township police with felonies burglary and trespassing and misdemeanor simple assault after she entered through an unlocked door at a home on Laurel Drive.
Police said De Melo did not have permission to be at the residence when she came inside just before 8 p.m. Sunday. According to documents, she then struck someone repeatedly with a rock and a broken glass handle from a bottle opener.
Police said the man De Melo assaulted had lacerations to his nose and the right side of his neck.
