Penn Township motorcyclist airlifted after crash Monday
PENN TWP — One person was airlifted following a crash Monday, June 3, between a motorcycle and a vehicle in the township, according police.
The crash occurred just before 2:30 p.m. in the area of 361 Dodds Road, and involved a collision between a motorcycle and a Chevrolet convertible.
According to Jeremy Walters, of the Penn Township Police Department, the driver of the convertible came out of the crash uninjured, while the driver of the motorcycle had injuries. Butler Ambulance Service transported the motorcyclist to a waiting LifeFlight helicopter, which carried him to a hospital.
As of Monday afternoon, the crash remained under investigation.
“We’re still trying to figure it out,” Walters said.
In addition to the Butler Ambulance Service, responding to the crash were the Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department, Penn Township Police Department and Middlesex Township Police Department.
