Anthony “Tony” J. Kiefer Jr., 66, of Portersville, peacefully passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2024, at UPMC Jameson, New Castle, following an illness.

Born Nov. 23, 1957, in Butler, he was the son the late Anthony J. and Betty I. Cartwright Kiefer Sr.

Tony was a member at St. Faustina Parish, St. Christopher Catholic Church, where he was an usher and volunteer at the annual festival.

From the age of 9, he worked at Marburger Farm Dairy, then in 1978 he opened and operated 488 Auto Repair, where he was a mechanic for many years. He also enjoyed driving a school bus for various local bus companies until his recent illness.

He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed spending time at camp.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Leise Kiefer, whom he married Feb. 14, 1987; his children, Samantha (Benjamin Lee) Kiefer of Erie, Anthony (Alexis Miller) Kiefer III of Pittsburgh and Michael (Kayla Holten) Kiefer of Zelienople; three grandchildren, Margaret, Eleanor and Wolfgang Lee; his siblings, Deborah Heffley of Gibsonia, Teresa Bricker of Renfrew and Thomas (Sally) Kiefer of Callery; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children; sister, Kathleen Lutz; and brothers-in-law, Richard Lutz, Gregg Heffley and Randy Bricker.

KIEFER — Visitation for Anthony “Tony” J. Kiefer Jr., who died Saturday, June 1, 2024, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Faustina Parish, St. Christopher Church, 229 N. Franklin St., Prospect, with the Rev. Adam M. Verona officiating.

Interment will be in Evans City Cemetery.
