Butler Senior High School
The Butler Senior High School commencement will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at Art Bernardi Stadium. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move to the senior high gymnasium.
These students will participate in the commencement program:
Carson Bish, class president, will give the welcome.
Nicole Urban, class vice president, will introduce the commencement theme speakers: Sophia Bauer and Macey Gamble. These two students participated in auditions to speak on the commencement theme, “Success Comes with Failure.”
■ Sophia is the daughter of Cris Bauer and Tim Bauer, both of Butler. She was president of FITE Club and played clarinet in marching band.
She plans to attend the University of Oregon to study psychology and legal studies.
■ Macey is the daughter of Ashley and Ian Gamble, of Butler. She was a member of student council, Butler SOZO and prom committee.
She plans to attend Highlands College to pursue a pastoral ministry major.
Jordyn Vandevort, student council president, will announce the distinguished graduate.
Riley Chapla, valedictorian, will deliver the class farewell.
Delaney Ray will sing the national anthem in the opening and the alma mater at the closing of the ceremony.
Traynor Covert, class secretary, and Julia Bianchin, class treasurer, will assist the school board president and vice president in handing out diplomas.
Sixteen students will participate in reading the names of their fellow graduates.
Class officers are Carson Bish, president; Nicole Urban, vice president; Traynor Covert, secretary; and Julia Bianchin, treasurer.
