Justin “J. Boogie” D. Woods, 27, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

He was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 22, 1996, to Kirk Wood and Kathleen Brooks.

Justin was a 2015 graduate of Butler Senior High School. He was known for being unique, kind, caring and compassionate with a contagious laugh and beautiful smile. Justin loved his family and friends and was a “one of a kind” dude; and admitted to being a momma’s boy through and through. He enjoyed riding skateboards, dirt bikes and motorcycles, swimming and playing cards.

He was the brother of Krystal and Kristeena Brooks and Brandon Woods. Justin also is survived by his great-grandmother, Catherine Travis; grandfather, Russell Brooks; uncles, Tim and David Brooks and Michael Halbiele; aunts, Amanda Brook, Nancy Plecenik, Tiffany Woods and Tery (Woods) Andrews; and many great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins and friends.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Susan Plecenik and Elaine Woods; and his grandfather, Michael Plecenik.

WOODS — Family and friends of Justin “J. Boogie” D. Woods, who died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A memory service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
