No one was injured after a vehicle went into Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park on Saturday night, June 8, according to park officials.

Dustin Drew, park manager, said the crossover vehicle went into the water at the Route 528 boat launch just after 9 p.m.

“No one was in the vehicle, it just kind of got away from her,” he said. “The vehicle was in neutral, she stepped out to get something.”

The vehicle ended up submerged, according to Drew. Crews remained on scene for just under two hours.

There were no major injuries reported, Drew said.

“Just a couple of scrapes,” he said.

Butler County Water Rescue Team 300, Prospect and Unionville volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.
