Adagio Health WIC holding series of mobile health clinics
Adagio Health’s Women, Infants and Children program is bringing its “WIC on Wheels” van to the Shop ‘n Save in Cranberry Township for a mobile health clinic on Thursday, June 13.
WIC on Wheels brings its mobile clinic to grocery stores in five Western Pennsylvania counties to offer vital health services.
Britney Zwergel, Adagio Health’s vice president of nutrition and health, said WIC program participants have access to the same services at the WIC on Wheels program that they can at an Adagio Health office, such as the one on Sunset Drive in Butler.
“The van is an opportunity for us to meet participants where they are,” Zwergel said. “We’re traveling to underserved areas of the county.”
WIC on Wheels will make further appearances on Sept. 12 and Dec. 12 at the Cranberry Shop ‘n Save; July 25 and Oct. 24 at the Clearview Mall Giant Eagle in Center Township; Aug. 22 and Nov. 26 the Moraine Pointe Plaza Giant Eagle in Butler Township; and June 27 and Sept. 26 at the Slippery Rock Giant Eagle.
