Vogeley scholarship awarded to 2 recent Butler High grads
Kasey Kennedy and Jordyn Vandevort, who graduated from Butler Senior High School recently with honors, were selected as recipients of the 42nd annual Theodore K. Vogeley Scholarship.
The scholarship will cover full tuition, fixed fees, room and board, and books at their respective universities.
Kasey is the daughter of Michael and Linda Kennedy, of Butler. She will attend the University of Pittsburgh as a nursing major.
Jordyn is the daughter of Janid and Carrie Vandevort, both of Butler. She will attend Grove City College to major in chemistry, general science and secondary education.
The pair were chosen from a field of 29 applicants, 18 of whom were interviewed.
One other 2024 Butler High graduate, Ava Brewster, will receive a $28,000 Vogeley scholarship due to the availability of remaining funds.
