SEBCO Pool still open despite broken heater
Those looking to cool off during the present heat wave may find the water a little too chilly to handle at one community pool in the county.
As of Thursday, June 20, SEBCO Pool in Jefferson Township — which serves Jefferson, Buffalo, Clinton and Winfield townships, as well as Saxonburg — is suffering from a broken heater.
According to Jefferson Township manager Leo Rosenbauer, the heater is not expected to be repaired until after the pool undergoes renovations, which will take place after it closes for the season after Labor Day.
Regardless, the pool remains open for business and is scheduled to host a local swim meet at 5 p.m. June 27. Representatives from the SEBCO Pool did not respond to requests for comment.
