Mullenax

Ruth M. Mullenax, 90, of Harmony, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, while under the care of St. John Specialty Care Center.

Born Jan. 8, 1934, in Jackson Township, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Stella (Burr) Frishkorn.

Ruth was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evans City. She worked at the Zelienople greenhouse for 48 years and at Lowe’s for 12 years. Ruth enjoyed bowling, and she was the treasurer of her league. She was also the treasurer for the Sportsman Club in Zelienople. She also enjoyed camping, traveling and flowers.

Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory her niece, Deb (Jim) Smith of Evans City; her great-niece, Heather (Jon) Williams of Cranberry Township; her great-great-nieces, Lexi, Emma and Taylor; her many other nieces and nephews; and her twin sisters, Eilene Budisky and Arlene Cameron, both of Harmony.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, E. Lewis Mullenax, whom she married on April 30, 1952; and her brother Dale Frishkorn of Zelienople.

MULLENAX — Friends and family of Ruth M. Mullenax, who died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ruth will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to AJ’s Stop 22 Memorial Fund, 114 Pattison St., Evans City, PA 16033, or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 202 Van Buren St., Evans City, PA 16033.
