SV grad Devlin gets academic honor

BEREA, Ohio — Seneca Valley graduate and Baldwin Wallace College junior Michael Devlin is one of 15 BWC men’s volleyball players selected to the 2024 Academic All-Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League team.

Devlin had 109 kills and scored 128.5 points for BWC this season. He carries a 3.5 grade point average as a marketing major.

The team finished 13-14 overall, 7-2in the MCVL.

Brown wins pair in harness racing

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove two horses to victory during harness racing action Thursday at Hollywood Casio at The Meadows.

He drove RT Lightning to a win ion a $9,000 Conditioned Trot, then piloted 15-1 long shot McKira to victory in an $11,900 Conditioned Pace.
