As part of a Route 422 construction project in Butler, Franklin and Connoquenessing townships, construction crews for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are removing beams from the Lions Road bridge in Butler Township.

Motorists should expect delays on Route 422 beginning Wednesday, June 26 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., as cranes will be brought in to remove the beams from the existing bridge structure. If inclement weather strikes at that time, the work will begin the following day.

The Lions Road bridge has been closed since Tuesday, June 18 as part of the Route 422 project and is expected to be closed through the end of August.
