Charges anticipated in fatal Butler Township shooting Monday
A Butler man will be charged in connection to a late Monday night shooting, June 24, in Butler Township that resulted in the death of a Pittsburgh man, police said Tuesday.
Nathan Michael, 27, of Butler, will be charged with criminal homicide in connection to a 38-year-old Pittsburgh man’s death, Butler Township police said. Police did not identify the Pittsburgh man.
The shooting occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on Spooner Drive. Crews were initially dispatched to the scene for reports of someone shot in the chest.
The incident is still under investigation, according to police, but several people in the home at the time of the shooting were detained.
Butler Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
