Carol Green
Carol J. Green, 82, of Evans City, beloved wife of Lloyd Green, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, and now is in the glory of her Lord and Savior.
Born Jan. 24, 1942, she was the daughter of John V. and Ruth E. (Schilling) Watson.
Carol was a lifetime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where she was very much involved throughout her life. She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a 50-plus year member.
Carol had a long career in banking, which she excelled at, and was an election official for many years. She was a supporter of Irene Stacey and the March of Dimes.
Carol loved her family first and foremost. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. When at home, you would find Carol in her garden, flower beds or kitchen. She loved to cook and was always making delicious canned goods.
Carol was a huge Steelers fan, so on those Sundays in the fall, you would find her cheering them on, or yelling at the TV when they were not performing as she knew they could. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and she made many beautiful pieces.
Carol is survived by her husband, Lloyd Green; children, Tim (Bea) Green, Paul (Robin) Green and Andy (Michele) Green; grandkids, Ashley (Jason) Stuhldreher, Bryan Green and Danielle (Austin) Ritenour; great-grandkids, Skylar Stuhldreher and Briley Ritenour; sisters, Mary Jane (Heinie) Raupp, Joy (Richard) Nalevanko and Debbie (Jim) Merrison; brothers, John (Terri) Watson, Jim (Teddie) Watson and Andy (Tami) Watson; brother-in-law, Joseph Ludwik; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John V. and Ruth E. Watson; one sister, Susan Ludwig; and one brother, Charles Watson.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to The Grove for all of Carol’s care, while she was there.
