Sen. Vogel’s telemedicine bill moves to Gov. Shapiro’s desk
A bill on telemedicine, put forward by Sen. Elder Vogel, R-47th, has moved to Gov. Josh Shapiro for approval after making its way through the state Senate and House of Representatives.
Senate Bill 739 will set guidelines for how telemedicine will be covered by insurance providers in Pennsylvania.
Specifically, it will require health insurance policies to provide coverage and pay providers for services delivered through telemedicine, and will require the same of Medicaid and CHIP programs.
