Wanda J. Riemer, 89, of Cabot, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born July 7, 1934, in Butler, she was the daughter of Walter Kradel and Nellie Lardin Kradel.

Wanda worked as a secretary for J.D. Miller and Sons for many years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Alhambra. She enjoyed bowling, building puzzles, dominoes and watching hummingbirds, and she was a member of numerous card clubs.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Riemer Sr., whom she married May 21, 1955; two sons, Robert L. (Kim) Riemer Jr. of Louisville, Ky., and Bruce G. (Dawn) Riemer of Cabot; two daughters, Catherine A. (Larry) Heasley of Butler and Brenda S. Bauman of Cabot; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Loyal Kradel, Howard Kradel, Walter Kradel and Richard Kradel; and five sisters, Helen Bowen, Naomi Polum, Anna Marie Miller, Agnes Schmeider and Myrtle Bachman.

RIEMER — Friends of Wanda J. Riemer, who died Thursday, June 27, 2024, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, with Father Ward Stakem officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Freeport.
