Charles Huckestein Jr.

Huckestein

Charles J. Huckestein Jr., 80, of Saxonburg, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

He was the beloved son of the late Charles J. and Hazel (Boody) Huckestein Sr.

Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked as an appliance salesman at Sears until his retirement. Since Chuck was not a person who could sit around, he spent his retirement driving a school bus for Deer Lakes and working as a landscaper between routes until he retired for a second time. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching high school sports, devouring Reese's Cups, tinkering with his trains, working outdoors, shopping and wearing a variety of hats.

He was the loving father of Chris, Darren (Olivia) and Joe (Rachelle); and cherished grandfather of Madeleine, Ava, Benjamin, Sarah, Morgan, Jeffrey, Adam (Jacinda), Mackenzie, Amanda and Madison. Also surviving are his sisters, Phyllis (Leo), Ruth, Jean (Mark) and Elizabeth; brother-in-law, Randy; sister-in-law, Betty; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeff; siblings, Mary, Marilyn, Jack and Peg; brothers-in-law, Paul, Al and Patrick; and longtime girlfriend, Linda Cataldo.
