Sally Burke

Sally May (Hubbard) Burke, 90, of Mars, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, while under the care of Rose Crest Assisted Living.

She was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Dubois, the daughter of the late Harold C. and Emily (Murphy) Hubbard.

Sally was a lifetime resident of Cranberry Township. Her late husband, Jim, was the first fire chief of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department, and she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was co-owner of CranTec Fabrication Shop and Hartman Catering in Cranberry Township. Sally was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Purple Isle Art Guild in Key Largo, Fla., and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society.

Sally is survived by her children, James B. Burke (Diana) of Waddy, Ky., Becky L. Deemer (Ken) of Valencia and Tracy B. Wayne (Douglas) of Clay, W.Va.; her grandchildren, Kenny Deemer (fiancée, Melissa), Ryan Deemer (fiancée, Megan), James Burke (Karine), Ellen Hahn (Nathan), Trevor Wayne (Candice), Emily Vealey (Bruce) and Claire Wayne; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Cathy Mowery (Dave) of Florida.

Along with her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Burke, whom she married on Nov. 29, 1952; and her sister, Emily Scott.

BURKE — Funeral arrangements for Sally May (Hubbard) Burke, who died Thursday, June 27, 2024, were entrusted to BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
