The Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will conduct “Star Parties” in July.

The parties will begin at 9 p.m. Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Park, 225 Kurn Road, Tarentum, weather permitting.

Visitors will be able to view the first quarter moon, star clusters, double stars and many celestial wonders during the events.
