Ronald E. Moore, 85, of Valencia, formerly of West Deer Township, passed away on Friday evening, June 28, 2024, at St. Barnabas Home in Gibsonia.

Born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 9, 1939, he was the son of the late James and Nellie Hunter Moore.

Ron had served eight years in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Coast Guard during peacetime. He was a member of the Bakerstown American Legion.

Ron had been a tool grinder for Herr-Voss Corporation in Callery.

He was a member of Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church in Butler and was a board member of the Tri-State Holiness Association in Clinton, Pa.

He was the loving husband of 56 years of Sarah E. Kimball Moore, whom he married on Nov. 25, 1967; brother-in-law of Ruth Hoak, Shirley Sandreth, Alice Johnston, Carol Karas and James Kimball; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scott E. Moore; a sister, Jean Smith; a brother, James Moore; and his in-laws, Margaret Anderson, Lois Kovaly and Stephen, Walter, John and Andrew Kimball.

MOORE — Friends of Ronald E. Moore, who died Friday, June 28, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Additional visitation will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Revs. Paul Cope and Paul Fish co-officiating. Burial will be in Bakerstown Cemetery.
