Sherril Fix

Sherril H. Fix, 85, formerly of Hilliards, Pa., passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Orchard Manor, Grove City.

Born in Boyers on March 6, 1939, he was the son of the late Maynard O. Fix and Edith R. Horton.

Sherril married Mary E. Bollinger on Sept. 5, 1968, and they would have celebrated 56 loving years together. He was a 1958 graduate of Moniteau High School. Sherril was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army National Guard with the rank of specialist fourth class. He was a member of Parker Allegheny Canby Lodge No. 521.

Sherril spent most of his adult life working and retired as a heavy equipment operator working with coal and limestone. He also was employed by Venango, Taylor and Marion townships as their maintenance equipment operator.

Sherril was a member of Ridgeville United Methodist Church for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Mary, and was a John Deere enthusiast.

Surviving are his loving wife, Mary; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, Deryk Cook and Erma Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Fix; and sisters, Lillian Baker and Nellie Sutherland.

FIX — Visitation for Sherril H. Fix, who died Saturday, June 29, 2024, will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, with a funeral service following, on Tuesday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.

Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Ridgeville.
