Butler Rotary Club PM donated $20,000 to Butler County Community College’s adult literacy program Monday evening, July 1, during its leadership changing ceremony.

A news release from the club said the money came from the annual Luncheon for Literacy, which took place Feb. 18 at the college. Funds support fees for adult students for GED training and testing along with English as a Second Language classes.

The annual Changing of the Guard Dinner took place at the Sonoma Clubhouse in Connoquenessing Township, where outgoing Rotary Club president David White presented the check to Megan Coval, interim president of BC3.

Coval told the members of the club that the college graduated a record number of students from the English as a Second Language program this year.
