Carol Ann Wiegand, 79, of Saxonburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 25, 1944, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of Andrew Tomsik and Cecelia Raszkowski Tomsik.

Carol worked at Zacherl's Tavern, retiring after 43 years. She was a social member of Saxonburg VFW Post 683 and a social member of the Sarver Veterans Club. Carol enjoyed NASCAR, the Steelers, crocheting and the relationships that she had with the customers of Zacherl's.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Wiegand, whom she married May 14, 1966; two daughters, Connie (Donald) Monteleone of Cabot and Laura (John) Freehling of Butler; one brother, A. Raymond (Dolores) Tomsik of Cabot; one sister, Linda Canfield of Lower Burrell; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Julianne, Josh and Leah; and two great-grandsons, Wesley and Everett.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

WIEGAND — There will be no visitation or services for Carol Ann Wiegand, who died Tuesday, July 2, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Private burial was in the Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
