Brandon Scholarship winner announced
Grove City College has announced the winners of the 2024 Ronald W. and Joyce E. Brandon Academic Scholarship.
Reilly Martin, of Bruin, and Jordyn Vandevort, of Butler, who will both attend the college in the fall as freshmen, will each receive an $8,700 scholarship.
Both scholarships are renewable for the following three years.
Martin graduated as valedictorian at First Baptist Christian School in Butler. She will major in communication arts at Grove City.
She is the daughter of Joel and Desiree Hills.
Vandevort is a graduate of Butler Senior High School, where she served as student council president. She has selected chemistry and secondary education as her majors.
She is the daughter of Carrie Vandevort.
Returning Grove City students who also will receive $8,700 scholarships are senior Robert Lipnichan, of Bruin; junior Brian McDonnell, of Seven Fields; and sophomores Zoe Fischer, of Butler, and Gabrielle Hartle, of Harrisville.
The Brandon Scholarship will award $52,200 in aid at Grove City College for the 2024-25 academic year.
Ron Brandon is a 1964 Grove City College graduate.
