Donna Jean Polinsky, 76, of Rural Valley, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, surrounded by her family.

Born Aug. 16, 1947, in Yatesboro, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Adeline (Talleri) Buffone.

Donna was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Shannock High School. Donna was a talented hairdresser, worked as a laborer for Season-All, sold Kirby sweepers (and could sell you anything) and worked in day care in Yatesboro.

Donna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Yatesboro. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and cooking. She was a fantastic interior decorator and was known for her clean, orderly home. Most of all, Donna always put family first. She cherished her time spent with those she loved.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Polinsky; daughters. Nicole Polinsky of Monroeville and Keely Polinsky of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Teresa (fiancé Austin Schafer) Polinsky of Pittsburgh; brothers preceded in death, Doug Buffone and Samuel Buffone; brothers, Joe (Linda) Buffone and Denny (Christine) Buffone, both of Rural Valley; sisters, Tina (Jason) Zaczyk and Deborah (Larry) Rupp, both of Ebensburg; sister-in-law, Carol Jablunovsky of Indiana, Pa.; grand-dogs, Rocky and Sassy; her beloved Bijon Frise, Preston; her “day care kids”; and extended family and friends.

POLINSKY — A viewing for family and close friends of Donna Jean Polinsky, who died Friday, July 5, 2024, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at MANTINI’S FUNERAL HOME in Ford City.

A funeral for family and close friends will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Yatesboro, followed by a luncheon at the church hall.

The family suggests donations in her honor to Orphans of the Storm, 11878 PA-85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
