State police released the names of the occupants injured in a rollover crash near the intersection of Route 8 and Hall Road in Brady Township Saturday, July 6, after their car struck a guard rail, flipped and crashed over an embankment and into the woods. The vehicle came to a stop after hitting a tree.

The occupants of the vehicle, Zachary Hanna, 26, of Dayton, and Cameron Zimmerman, 20, of Rural Valley, were both taken to the hospital.

Hanna, the driver, was driven by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries. Zimmerman was airlifted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

The nature of Zimmerman’s injuries are suspected to be serious, according to the police report.

Nathan Wulff, deputy chief of Unionville Volunteer Fire Company, previously said that the airlifted patient had been ejected from the car. Paramedics were able to retrieve her using ropes and a stokes basket.

Both the north- and southbound lanes of Route 8 were shut down for over an hour.

Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team, West Sunbury Volunteer Department, Butler Ambulance Service and STAT MedEvac and state police responded to the scene alongside Unionville Volunteer Fire Company.
