Cranberry creates program to help clean up after block parties
Summer in Cranberry Township means lots and lots of block parties — and also lots and lots of cleaning up the day after. The township has just instituted a program to make that part a little easier.
The “rack program” will provide residents with a trash rack, a recycling rack, and two bags, which can be picked up at the Cranberry public works facility from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.
They are free as long as the user returns them within three days after the event. If not, $25 will be added to the user’s utility bill.
