Motorists on Route 422 should be advised of potential delays on Wednesday morning, July 10, as crews from the state Department of Transportation install bridge beams for the Lions Road Bridge as part of the Route 422 Project in Butler, Franklin and Connoquenessing townships.

This work will take place on the night and early morning of July 10 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., unless inclement weather takes place, in which case work will take place a day later. Message boards will be placed along Route 422 to alert motorists to the closure.

The Lions Road bridge has been closed since June 18 and is expected to remain closed through the end of August.
