Hendy

John “Chris” Hendy, 69, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1954, in Trenton, Mich., to the late John and Elaine (Lacroix) Hendy.

John graduated from Lyman High School in 1973 and worked as a software engineer until his retirement in 2021. He enjoyed reading, cooking, researching various topics and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryle (Greiner) Hendy, whom he married on Nov. 3, 1990; his sons, Douglas (Jayme) Nulph and Matthew Nulph; his daughter, Stacey (James) McGowan; his five grandsons, Cameron, Devin, Tanner, Gavin and Brayden; his three great-grandchildren, Max, Molly and Bella; his brother, Gregory (Cheryl) Hendy; his two sisters, Rena (Bob) Costantine and Lisa (Delisle) Wight; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

HENDY — Services for John “Chris” Hendy, who died Thursday, July 4, 2024, will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
