After a four month search, the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Denise Martin as its new president, effective immediately.

Martin succeeds Jim Boltz, who has been president of the chamber for the past 10 years.

“I am honored and excited to step into the role of president of the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber,” Martin said. “I look forward to building on our strong foundation and working with members, staff and community partners to drive growth and prosperity in our region.”

Martin joined the chamber staff in September as the director of partnerships and development.

In that time she helped the organization by adding 51 new members in the fourth quarter and increasing sponsorship money by 45% over the previous year.

Prior to joining the chamber, she served as the director of membership at Treesdale Golf & Country Club in Gibsonia, Allegheny County.

“Denise brings a wealth of skills and abilities to her new role, including expertise in sales and marketing, relationship building, event planning and promotion, and program development,” board chairman Rakesh Unnithan said. “Her experience building strong, vibrant membership organizations and her ability to successfully attract new sponsors will be invaluable as she leads the Chamber into its next chapter.”

Martin resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and is an active member of the North Way Christian Community Church, where she volunteers as a program leader and singer.
