All ambulances responding to emergencies in Butler County have been advised to take patients elsewhere since 7 p.m. Saturday, July 13, according to scanner traffic.

The diversion began following a shooting at the rally for former President Donald Trump at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Connoquenessing Township. Trump was taken off stage with blood on his face.

Melissa Forester, spokesperson for Independence Health System, to which the hospital, belongs said all comments were being directed to the Trump campaign.

She did not comment on how the situation was affecting the public.
