Fire departments around Muddy Creek Township responded to a fire reported in an underground fuel tank Thursday evening, July 18, at the Last Minit Mart.

A report of the fire at 1651 Perry Highway came in at 7:15 p.m., prompting a response from Portersville-Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, Harmony Fire District, Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Prospect Volunteer Fire Department.

Crews were on scene for more than an hour-and-a-half, according to a dispatch report.
