PennDOT plans weekly maintenance

The state Department of Transportation is planning maintenance work around roads in the county the week of Monday, July 22.

Shoulder cutting is planned for William Flynn Highway in Slippery Rock borough and Mercer Township, Branchton Roads in Slippery Rock borough and Cherry Township, and Boyers Road in Mercer and Marion townships.

Crews will work to patch Route 308 in Marion and Venango townships, Route 138 in Clay Township and Pittsburgh Road in Middlesex Township.

Patching will also be conducted along Hartmann, Little Creek and Franklin roads in Jackson Township.

Additionally, Jackson Township residents can expect deck repair on Lindsay Road.

Drainage work is planned for Old New Castle Road in Butler Township and Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township.

Mowing will take place along New Castle Road, William Flynn Highway, Centreville Pike and Mercer Road in Slippery Rock Township, as well as on Prospect Road in Brady Township.

Pipe installation is planned on Dick Road in Connoquenessing Township.

Crews are also planning to seal coats along Union Church Road in Adams Township and Mars Evans City Road in Adams and Forward townships.
