Butler man facing attempted homicide in shooting
Garrett Graham, 24, of Butler, was arrested and taken to Butler County Prison on Sunday, July 21, and is awaiting arraignment for attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm.
Butler Police said Graham fired several rounds of 5.56 ammunition at an unidentified 32-year-old white male.
Police were first dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Robinson Avenue in Butler on Sunday, after reports of multiple gunshots at the residence. When police arrived, they found the 32-year-old male in the backyard with a gunshot wound to the leg.
After they bandaged the victim, officers tracked the suspect down to a house on Fairview Avenue. When police arrived at that residence, Graham surrendered.
After getting a search warrant, officers found multiple magazines of 5.56 ammunition, along with an AR-15 style rifle.
Graham has no prior criminal record.
